I was editing my photos from today when i made my last post. After going through all the shots i really like this one and just have to share it.

Nikon School

Spent this past Sunday at Sea World enjoying the advanced course for color, light, and technology. The course was taught by a couple of professional photographers and was pretty informative. If you want to see when a class may be in your neighborhood go to: http://www.nikonschool.com/. There is plenty of information on Nikon's website including instructional videos and even printable literature that is mostly geared at Nikon cameras but photography is photography and the information is relative.

Kind of nice to go back to Sea World. It was a really nice day, sunny and cool, and seeing the old stomping grounds brought back some old memories. My best friends dad worked at Sea World and it seemed like we were always there. We never missed a Cheerleading Championship which were held there every year. I often wonder what happened to John (my old best friend) I type his name into white pages or google every so often just to see if he shows up but no luck so far. So John Deaton if you are out there give me a shout will ya?

New Lens

My new 50mm F/1.8 came in today, just in time for the weekend. I played around the house with it tonight. The cats are probably going to smother me in my sleep for keeping them blind and seeing spots all night but what are you going to do.

So why is it that every lens has a different filter size??? Now i got to go out and buy a polarized 52mm to add to my collection of 67 and 72mm filters in my bag, good thing i bought a fairly large bag.

I am looking forward to loading up my memory card this weekend.

Thought i would jump in deep and start a blog. I am looking forward to sharing my photographs and my points of view. I will try not to screw up. Lets see if i can post a photo.

I am not exactly sure what kind of tree this is but it was sure pretty. Sun at my back and the gap in the clouds behind. Tree was in a pretty odd place, a gap between parking lots in Tarpon Springs, FL. Took a day trip down while on Christmas break.

I am always looking for someplace to go and take pictures. I guess i am still looking for the thing i like to photograph the most. I really like people, they are easy to move around to fit your vision but models are in short supply where i live.
